Recruitment of family connectors
The Royal Canadian Air Force Family Connection Program.
Family connectors are volunteers who get involved with families newly assigned to Bagotville. They are adult members of families from the military community of Bagotville including uniformed personnel, spouses, adult children, parents and any other close relatives of the community.
They also have a good understanding of the challenges related to the reality of military families and wish to provide new families with the benefit of their knowledge of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region and CFB Bagotville.
Concretely, their role is:
To offer a personalized welcome to families;
Act as a friendly point of contact;
Provide information and refer to available resources and;
Help families to establish links with their new community so that they can better integrate.
We are looking for individuals who have good communication skills, a positive attitude towards the CF, the MFRC and a favourable opinion towards the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. They must also demonstrate a good teamwork skills and concern for privacy and confidentiality.
By getting involved in the Family Connection Program, family connectors will help create a unique support network that will promote better integration of families in Bagotville.
They will receive training to be well equipped and will be supported by the MFRC throughout the partnership process.
