Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a volunteering and service program for tweens and teens ages 11 to 16. This new program allows young people in our military community the chance to connect socially with their peers and to give back to their community. We realize that young people in our community lead busy lives, so we have designed a program that is both enjoyable and meaningful.

Our tweens and teens are asked to make the commitment to attend 9 volunteer events through the school year (September-May). In return, they will get special invites to some of our MFRC events, a special wrap up event in May, and will be considered first when we are selecting which young people to send to Camp Maple Leaf in the Summer of 2020. If your child’s school requires volunteer hours for credit, our Coordinator will be happy to sign off on any hours completed.
