Stress Take Charge istock Share: Stressed? Take Charge! Stressed? Take Charge! (STC) Register for a Course! Stress management is a daily balancing act that has an impact on your overall well-being, including your physical and mental health. This stress management program is designed and tested specifically for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) to improve health and well-being. Participants will learn tools and coping mechanisms that they can use in everyday life to manage their stress levels. This interactive program combines theory and practice to help participants create lasting changes for thier well-being and quality of their relationships. Topics include: Stressors and the effects of stress, including mental and physical health; The stress and relaxation response; The Personal Power Grid and making choices; The stress reaction in the military content; How to build and maintain resiliency; How to achieve work-life balance; How lifestyle habits affect stress; and Relaxation techniques to help minimize the stress response. IMPORTANT: Stress: Take Charge (STC) should not be used as a replacement for therapy and/or counselling. HRMS code is provided upon course completion. Course Eligibility This course is open to the entire Defence Team, including military personnel, civilian employees, veterans and spouses/dependents aged 18+.
