4 Wing Cold Lake, the City of Cold Lake, and the M.D. of Bonnyville with Kinosoo Ridge Snow Resort are coming together to present Snow Fever - the premier winter event in the Lakeland. Snow Fever is a three day collaborative celebration to be held on Family Day weekend (February 15-17, 2020), with each participating community hosting a day of events.
Snow Fever exists through the participation of our generous volunteers. From military teams to individual altruists, we rely on the support of our caring community.

Snow Fever Volunteers
Have a passion for the great outdoors? Love snow and meeting new people from your community? Join us and become a Snow Fever Volunteer. Share your passion for winter with visitors from all over town, and help our guests learn more about the winter sports available near them and the fun it can bring to the whole family! We have several different options for Volunteer Participation and are always happy to welcome volunteer teams looking to fulfill their volunteer hours in a fun, winter festival.

Welcome and Information Centre Volunteers
Do you love being at the centre of the festivities? Each of our Information Centres is a hub for all the information about the Snow Fever Event that visitors need to know.
Activities, Crowds, Events, we need it all covered!
The Photo team is responsible to capture all moments of the festival. Photographers will be scheduled to different areas of the Festival throughout the day. A shot list will be provided that would include specific items that the Festival would like documented. In addition, the list will include some additional items that would be on the dream photo list.
Activities for everyone!
This team will work directly with kids and family for our various carnival stations (inflatables, glitter tattoos and more!) inside Col J.J. Parr Sports Centre. Are you friendly, crafty and enjoy being a leader? This role is for you!Recreation volunteers are responsible for helping with recreation program's daily operation. They primarily organize and direct participants, set up and keep records of equipment use, and ensure that recreation facilities and equipment are used and maintained properly.
Are you a winter enthusiast? We need volunteers that are ready to brave the cold and help out with all our outdoor activities including but not limited to tobogganing, skating, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing!
Team Hero Volunteers
General assistance, floaters, runners, and general heroes!
Setting up roadblocks, directing pedestrians and vehicles as required. This team will know the layout of the Festival and will provide information and directions to guests arriving at our Snow Fever activities. Help implement the logistics of the Event site. Tasks include: Set up, cleaning, and tear down, including tables, chairs, and signage. Ensure items do not get stolen or damaged. A driver’s license and a vehicle is an asset. Must be able to communicate directions clearly and be able to work in a team setting to direct large crowds. Flexible to help on various volunteer teams to release co-workers for breaks and lunches.
