Kids Have Stress Too!

This interactive workshop focuses on the important role of parents and caregivers in helping young children learn to manage stress. The child’s ability to cope with stress in the early years has consequences for physical and emotional health throughout life.  This workshop offers practical tools for recognizing stress and supporting children to build resilience.  Please register by calling the MFRC at 250-363-2640.

Mental Health First Aid

The Veteran Family Program is offering a Mental Health First Aid certification for the Veteran community including Veterans, military members in transition, family members and service providers. Mental health first aid is the assistance provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional treatment is received or until a crisis has been resolved.
