PSP Clinics & Workshops

PSP Gagetown Recreation provides leadership and resources to the sport, recreation and physical activity community on a local, regional and national level by providing various clinics, certifications and workshops. These opportunties are aimed at helping coaches, officials, volunteers and program/camp leaders.

Here is a list of clinics and workshops now available:

PSP Gagetown Recreation Women's Slo-Pitch Try & Learn Clinic

This Slo-Pitch Try & Learn Clinic is geared towards recreational female players who may be new to the sport or looking to further develop their skills. Emphasis will be placed on understanding rules, game strategy and throwing, batting and fielding techniques. Skill development will take place through a variety of drills and all players will have the ability to implement their skills. Most importantly, you will have fun with the sport you love!

WHO: Female ONLY ages 16+
COST: $10/Rec Members or Military Personnel or $15/Non Rec-Members

Softball New Brunswick LVI SP/FP Umpire Certification Clinic 
Softball New Brunswick Junior Development Umpire Certification Clinic 

Official recognition by Softball Canada (recognized as the National Sport Governing Body by Sport Canada) and by your own Provincial/Territorial Association as a qualified softball official. Through your affiliation with Softball Canada, you also become linked with the International Softball Federation, the governing body for both slo-pitch and fast pitch throughout the world.

Access to professionally organized umpire certification clinics (Levels I through IV) for both slo-pitch and fast pitch officials. At these annual clinics, emphasis is placed on understanding and correct interpretation of rules, as well as understanding proper on-the-diamond techniques.

WHO: Youth 12+ and adults (NO experience necessary)
COST: $70/LVI Certification or $25/Junior Development Certification (12-18)

PSP Gagetown Recreation Learn to Play Softball Clinic for Youth
This clinic is geared towards recreational youth players who may be new to the sport or looking to further develop their skills. Emphasis will be placed on understanding FUNdamentals of throwing, running, catching and hitting. PSP Gagetown Recreation Learn to Play Softball Clinic is a revolutionary way of introducing the sport of Softball to youth. Activities are included which foster the involvement of ALL players, including players with high and low skill levels. The youth will experience excitement, enjoyment and success. Activities and lead-up games are patterned after informal playground games that promise an hour of FUN and LOTS OF ACTION. Participants will go home at the end of the day happy and tired, while improving their fitness level.

Monday 24 June 2019 at 6-7pm ages U10 (6-10) & ages U14 (11-14) at 7-8:15pm
Wednesday 26 June 2019 at 6-7pm ages U10 (6-10) & ages U14 (11-14) at 7-8:15pm
*Please bring a glove, appropriate footwear, a hat and a water bottle!
