Martial Arts Club

Martial Arts Club

CFB Kingston's Martial Arts Club - MAC: offers you three martial arts disciplines to choose from:  Jujitsu, Karate and TaeKwonDo.

Every martial art draws from a larger pool of concepts and principles. What makes each art form unique is the emphasis it places on various aspects and the approach it takes in applying the various concepts and principles.

So, choose to study one martial art, or choose to study more. However, keep in mind that a solid foundation in one discipline is also seen as crucial as it will anchor your understanding for all future learning.
When your basic principles are deeply understood and your foundation is solid, it is fun and fascinating to see how other art forms, systems, styles, and instructors approach those principles. Where a martial art form overlaps, great learning and depth in understanding can be gained by you the student.

Each school allows up to three (3), ‘Try it before you buy it’ sessions for interested participants.
Location of all classes:  Kingston Military Community Sports Complex
Important note: Due to our mandate, CFB Kingston’s Martial Arts Club (MAC) has limited enrollment for civilian participants. Military members, their families and those who work for DND, NPF, RMC have higher priority.  Therefore, civilian enrolment may be reviewed, withdrawn and/or refunded, as necessary.
Feel free to contact the school about your civilian enrollment and payment.

KARTAE: Our goal is to teach traditional Shotokan Karate, in the style of O’Sensei Masami Tsuruoka.
Masami Tsuruoka Introduced Karate to Canada in 1958 when he opened the first Karate school.
Karate will continue to grow both in Canada and other countries. This growth will continue to spread good will and friendship, uniting people from all corners of the world.

Many thanks to the efforts and Spirit of “the father of Canadian Karate” O’Sensei Masami Tsuruoka.

Our instructors (Sensei and Sempai) are experienced, dedicated, and senior black belts who volunteer their time and knowledge to work with all their students.
