On 28 November, Canadian Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) hosted the 51st Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Imagery Contest Awards Ceremony at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.
The 2018 CAF Imagery Contest Photography committees received a total of 1,418 entries from 259 participants. The Video committee received a total of 72 entries from 44 participants.
The two-day judging for photography took place on October 10th and 11th, 2018, and the one day video judging session took place in October.
We would like to thank all participants and congratulate all the winners for making this year's contest another successful event.

First Place – Novice classification - Actuality: Avr Belina Hooper
First Place – Advanced classification - Social Media Video: Mr Doug Rotar, MCpl Kurt Visser, Mr Patrick Edwards and MCpl Andrew Wesley
First Place – Advanced Actuality: Maj Maciej Hatta
The recipients of the following awards were announced at the award ceremony on November 28th at the beautiful LeBreton Gallery in the Canadian War Museum :
- Patron’s award: Cpl Nicolas Alonso
- Military Photographer of the Year award: LS Daniel Bard
- Best in Show – Novice: Gisele Amow
- Best in Show – Advanced: MCpl Jennifer Kusche
