CFMAP is a voluntary and confidential service started by the Canadian Armed Forces. If we can't help, we know someone who can. We’re available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. CFMAP is for members and family members who have concerns that affect their personal well-being and/or work performance such as marital, family, interpersonal, personal and emotional relations, stress and burn-out, harassment, sexual assault, alcohol, drugs and prescription drugs.

The Chaplain’s role is to enhance and protect the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of members and their families. The Chaplain ensures access to spiritual care and religious ministrations to all members and their families, regardless of their religious or spiritual affiliation or beliefs.

These centres provide help to serving members of the CAF and their families who deal with stress from military operations, including UN and NATO deployments abroad. The deployments can cause a myriad of psychological, emotional, spiritual and relationship problems. A multi-disciplinary team of caring professionals use a holistic approach to help.

You can contact the Family Information Line (FIL) for any support you may need as a result of the unique nature of military life. The FIL offers confidential, personal and bilingual help. Our counsellors can help your family obtain information and provide reassurance. They can support and refer you to other various services offered to CAF families. FIL counsellors provide supportive counselling 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
MILITARY FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRES (MFRCs)
We help families manage the unique stresses of the military lifestyle through personal, family and community development. C/MFRCs are also in the US and Europe. Each MFRC is unique but most offer a variety of child care options or can refer families to other available resources in their community. We can also arrange for emergency child care.
OPERATIONAL STRESS INJURY SOCIAL SUPPORT program (OSISS)
The Peer Support and Family Peer Support Coordinators network is available across the country. They enable CAF members and their affected family members to regain functional health and wellness. They can connect you with community resources and specially designed OSI programs with Veterans Affairs Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces. They also organize support groups.
SEXUAL MISCONDUCT RESPONSE CENTRE (SMRC)

The Sexual Misconduct Response Centre (SMRC) provides CAF members supportive counselling and information to meet your needs. For a confidential conversation with a counsellor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, call 1-844-750-1648 (or an alternate or international number). You can also email us at DND.SMRC-CIIS.MDN@forces.gc.ca. Please note that our core hours are from 7 am to 5 pm Eastern Time. We will respond to emails received after hours on the next business day.
SISIP Financial provides access to a team of financial advisors to all Canadian Armed Forces serving, former members and their families. There are financial advisors located at 22 bases/units/wings. We provide you with sound financial solutions based on all aspects of the military lifestyle at every stage of your career and beyond. Whether you are new to the military, releasing/retiring, single or married, SISIP Financial advisors can help you secure financial health throughout your lifetime.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS
Stand with Us – Assistance is available to help you and your family cope with challenges arising from your military service. Find relief through programs specifically designed to help soldiers and veterans like you. Emergency Grants are available to support you during an immediate (within the next 24-72 hours) financial distress situation.
The Canadian Armed Forces - Transition Group (CAF TG), is working with Veterans Affairs Canada and other partners to provide professional, personalized and standardized transition services to CAF members, veterans and their families. They provide special care and attention to those who are ill or injured and help with your transition to civilian life.
CF HEALTH SERVICES
CF Health Services is the main provider of mental health services for the CAF. Providers may include psychiatrist, psychology, social worker, mental health nurse, addiction counsellors and Health Services Chaplains. Where service providers are unavailable, we may refer you and your family to local community programs and services.
