Health Care Professional Training
The Canadian Paediatric Society and Military Family Services have developed an online education program for family physicians, paediatricians, residents and all those who care for children and youth in military families. This online program provides paediatricians and physicians with the latest knowledge and best evidence about pressing issues affecting military families in Canada. Universally recognized by all seventeen Canadian medical schools in Canada, completion of this online training module provides paediatricians and physicians with Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. Looking to support military families by allocating space within your practice
The Military Family Doctor Network aims at improving access to family physicians for families of serving Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members through the Calian Primacy and private clinics across Canada. The goal of the program is to improve access to quality health care for the spouses and children of Canadian Armed Forces members by leveraging the network of family physicians at interested clinics across Canada. Since 2015, the MFDN has helped over 1500 military family members get connected with family physicians in 9 different communities. To get involved, click here.
