As our Office Assistant, you will support staff once a week in the office. Your tasks will include assembling Welcome Packages and informational material, shredding, organizing and filing, collecting stats, entering data and more.
Volunteer Welcome Committee
This is a great opportunity for military family members who have experienced being in a new community. You are invited to share your experiences, and create the best possible welcome to military families who have recently moved to the area by helping to organize events, program and projects.
Capture the moment by volunteering to take photos at one of our special events.
Help to fix broken equipment and assemble furniture at one of our locations.
Welcoming Space & Sensory Play Assistant
You will assist the Special Needs Inclusion Programmer with the set-up of various 'centres' around the gym for children to try. You will help to facilitate activities, engage the children, and have fun!
This position allows you to help with the development and recording of video and audio material for promotion, podcasts or virtual sessions for the PMFRC.
Our day care centres are always looking for guests to enrich our programs. Guest activities may include: face painting; music; science experiments; cooking; show-and-tell. You will have guidance from the educators if you are unsure of how to approach the age group.
Deployment Supervised Care
This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being around children, and who would like to support our deployed families. Your duties include set-up and tear-down, welcoming parents, playing with children, and organizing games and crafts while being with an ECE at all times.
Welcome Calls Ambassador
Welcome Military families to Petawawa by telling them about our programs, services and the support we provide. Availability during working hours in required.
