GENERAL INFORMATIONS

Session date
The 8-week session takes place from January 18 to March 21, 2021. There will be no classes during spring break, from Monday March 1 to Sunday March 7, 2021.

COVID-19 adaptation and novelty

Preschool program (Starfish to Whale)
  • Children 6 and under must enroll in the preschool program.
  • The parents must be in the water up to the whale level.
  • To keep the correct distance, all parent-child lessons will take place in the large pool.
  • A course for each level from Whale to Salamander has been created without a parent to meet the realities of military families. You must communicate HERE, to inform us of your situation and proceed to your registration. Places will be reserved for families who one of whose members is or plans to be deployed. In order to meet the standards, this course will be given in the small pool, regardless of the level.
  • Classes are now 40 minutes long.
 
 

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM (0-6 YEARS OLD)

• Starfish / Duck (6 to 18 months)
The child will experience stomach and back buoyancy through stimulating lessons. At the end of the course, the parent will be able to determine what is and what is not safe and will know some emergency procedures. Must be accompanied by a parent in the water for the duration of the session. 

• Duck / Sea Turtle (18 to 36 months)
Through thematic lessons, the child is stimulated in order to get him to move easily in the water. Must be accompanied by a parent in the water for the duration of the session. 

• Sea otter (3 to 6 years old)
This course aims to develop children's autonomy in the water by promoting the practice of movement in different directions without a floating object. Must be accompanied by a parent in the water for the duration of the session. 

• Salamander (3 to 6 years old) 
Through thematic sessions, children will learn new swimming techniques to meet the evaluation criteria associated with their level. Must be accompanied by a parent in the water for the duration of the session.

• Moon-fish (3 to 6 years old)
This class will allow the child to safely enter shallow water, float and glide on their stomach and back without assistance, move around wearing a PFD and perform rhythmic breaths 3 times. Through thematic sessions, children will learn new swimming techniques to meet the evaluation criteria associated with their level. The course takes place without the parent; the child must be able to swim without a buoyancy aid. Must be accompanied by a parent in the water for the duration of the session (new).​

• Crocodile (3 to 6 years old) 
With this lesson, the child will be able to jump into chest-high water, float and stand up on his stomach and back, and swim on his stomach for a distance of 3 meters. Through thematic sessions, children will learn new swimming techniques to meet the evaluation criteria associated with their level. The course takes place without the parent; the child must be able to swim without a buoyancy aid. Must be accompanied by a parent in the water for the duration of the session (new).​

• Whale (3 to 6 years old)
With this course, the child will learn to float on the stomach and on the back, to breathe through the mouth and through the nose, to perform alternative leg kicks by sliding on the stomach and on the back and to swim for 10 meters continuously. Through thematic sessions, children will learn new swimming techniques to meet the evaluation criteria associated with their level. The course takes place without the parent; the child must be able to swim without a buoyancy aid. Must be accompanied by a parent in the water for the duration of the session (new).​
